Potentially Eligible Services
In New York, a "potentially eligible" individual for NYSED ACCES-VR generally refers to a student with a disability who is between the ages of 14 and 22 and receives special education services but has not yet formally applied for or been determined eligible for vocational rehabilitation services. These individuals can receive Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) without a formal application, allowing them to explore career paths, develop self-advocacy skills, and participate in work-based learning experiences. The goal of this "Potentially Eligible" status is to provide early intervention and preparation for successful employment and post-secondary education.

Pre-ETS Services are provided in partnership with Local School Districts.
